Zach Braff To Join The Land Of Oz?

Zach Braff
Scrubs funny man Zach Braff (Garden State) may be in line to join the Disney project Oz: The Great And The Powerful, according to Variety. Braff is said to be in the very last negotiations for the role which could see him alongside James Franco as the assistant of Franco's character Oz.

Director Sam Raimi has already added many big names to the cast including aforementioned James Franco, with Mila Kunis set to join along with Michelle Williams and Rachel Weisz who is to take the role as the evil queen. The story is described as a 3D fantasy and is a prequel to The Wizard Of Oz in that it brings us the story of the magician arriving in the land of Oz.

Although filming is set to start in Michigan this summer, the film may not see release until 2013. With the director of the Spiderman films Sam Raimi at the helm, who also produced the new hit TV series Spartacus:
Blood And Sand, this film shouldn't disappoint. The casting of Braff will bring in a larger audience and it should guarantee the film will be worth a few laughs.

Do you like the sound of the project? How will Braff and Franco work together?
