Bigelow To Make Bin Laden Film?

Kathryn Bigelow and Mark Boal
I can't quite believe how quickly news of a film has surfaced after the killing of Osama Bin Laden only days after it took place. Kathryn Bigelow is the name behind the story and you'll remember she was the first female winner of an Oscar For Best Director in 2010 for her film The Hurt Locker which followed a U.S Bomb Disposal Unit on duty in Iraq. To me she seems the perfect director to take on the role and I'm sure others would agree with this.

Bigelow and writer Mark Boal have been working on the project for a while now and have stepped up their efforts since the killing of Bin Laden. MSN Movies has revealed the news that the film will follow a black ops unit on the trail of Osama.

The news sounds all too sketchy and seems to be based on rumours but I think the news is exciting. For me a
film was always going to come out and I think Bigelow would be perfect for the director's chair. However Bigelow declined to comment about the project, according to Susan Ciccone, a spokeswoman for the director.
