Joel Edgerton To 'Kill Bin Laden'

Joel Edgerton
After widespread reports that Kathryn Bigelow (The Hurt Locker) will be directing a film about the hunt and killing of Osama Bin Laden, the film now has a name and a lead star. Funnily enough the film will be called Kill
Bin Laden and will be a war-themed film based on the true events surrounding the pursuit and finally the killing of Bin Laden.

Animal Kingdom star Joel Edgerton will take the lead role as a special ops soldier who, with the help of his team, pursues Bin Laden after the 9/11 attacks.

Mark Boal's (The Hurt Locker) script has been tweaked to tie in with recent events after the first draft presented the mission as unsuccessful. The final sounds sounds an epic to me; described as a forty minute fight
sequence that ends in the killing of Bin Laden.

Kill Bin Laden will begin shooting this summer, revealed 24 Frames.

Is it too soon for a film to already have been sorted out? Are the writers exploiting real events to make a film r is it important to show the world the events?
