'Catfish' Directors Reeled In To Direct 'Paranormal Activity 3'

Joost And Schulman In Catfish
Catfish directors Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost have officially been hired by Paramount to direct the third installment of the Paranormal Activity film series. Although details at this time are scarce, Variety has revealed the film will be an 80's set origin film that centres on a new family. Presumably it will link in with the previous two films to continue the story laid out so far.

Joost and Schulman shot to fame last year after the success of their documentary Catfish which brought us the story of their attempt to track down a woman Schulman's brother had met online. Despite controversy surrounding the legitimacy of their film, Paramount are certainly keen to get them on board.

The film is set to be released in October of this year so the pair certainly have their work cut out to produce
the film on time. I'll be looking forward to it and I hope they do link the film to the previous two.

What do you think of the pair being asked to direct the film?
