'Toy Story 4' In The Pipeline? - Tom Hanks Reveals All

Although it seemed to everyone who had seen the three hugely successful Toy Story films that they have come to the end of the film franchise, Tom Hanks, who stars in all three films as Woody, has revealed to the BBC that a fourth film could be on its way!

While out promoting his new film Larry Crowne, which hits our screens soon, Hanks was asked whether he thought there would ever be a Toy Story 4 to which he replied: “I think there will be yeah. Yeah, yeah. I think they’re working on it now. There you go.”.

What a shock! The third film was described as a trilogy closer and it really was. We followed the toys journey as their owner Andy grew up and ended up with them under the ownership of a new child. There just doesn't seem to be anywhere the film could go which would diminish the massive amount of hard work that Pixar has put into making the trilogy one of the most successful animation
franchises ever.

Although the film would be guaranteed a welcome reception, after the third film managed $1 billion worldwide, it doesn't mean the film should happen. I can't seeing it adding to the previous films and I would worry that it would be just that little step too far.

What do you think? Would you be excited about a Toy Story 4 or should it be laid to rest?

The first three films are masterpieces one and all, though this does smell mightily like a far-too-quick cash-in - and, as you pointed out, the trilogy really did come full circle already.

Na they can't do that surely! It was such an amazing trilogy! I'm worried it'll end up like the last Shrek film (Extremely rubbish)

@Howard I would agree they are probably foccusing on money with these plans.

@Cynical celeb news, wouldn't agree about the last Shrek film (I think it was the best since the first one) but I think a Toy Story 4 couldn't possibly rival any of the other three films.

Thanks for reading!

They tied up all the loose ends and finished the trilogy superbly well. Then it made a whole heap of cash and wham! - "we have to make another!"
..but, Pixar rarely put a foot wrong so I expect another great film.
